Halloween parties

We also stayed busy with Halloween Activities.
At Boo at the Zoo with friends.  Our astronaut and Dorothy..
Abby also ran into her friend Reese from school.

There was the Halloween Party at Patrick's work.  Carter brought a friend and everyone had a great time  coloring, eating and going on a hayride...
The traditional pumpkin patch picture.  We were a little late going to get one, but there were still a few to pose by.
Abby loves the book, Spookley the square pumpkins, so we had to make "square" pumpkins.  She had so much fun.

We carved a pumpkin the day before Halloween.  It is just too warm in SC and the pumpkins get rotten if you carve them any sooner...  Abby was way more excited about the pumpkins insides than Carter was...

October Fun

October is always a busy month for us.  We have the SC State Fair.  It is always a lot of fun, however the farm girl is me is always disappointed by the lack of animals and really can't count it as a "real" fair.

Then we had Carter's Birthday.  I can't believe that he is 7 already..  We took 2 friends to Frankie's Fun Park for an afternoon of fun with friends.  They had so much fun.

Silly boys playing mini golf, doing the bumper boats and driving the race cars.

Abby then played soccer.  It really is not her thing.   Patrick helped coach her team of 3-4 year olds.  All she really cared about was pink socks and purple shoes.  Oh well.

September 2012

I am very behind in updating the blog.  I promise I will try and do better.  Here are some pictures from September.  I tried to put a picture of Carter's first day of 1st grade but it only would put the picture sideways...  Keep looking for more to come..  We have been busy these past few months.

Here is some fun that we had in September.  We went to the beach with Patrick's parents and his brother's family.  The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time in the water...

Carter really was happy in this picture, he just thought that it would be fun to show his enthusiasm for me taking yet another picture.

We played miniature golf.  The kids favorite, while at the beach...

Now onto soccer...  Carter and Abby are both playing this year..  Carter loves it but Abby is not so impressed by the whole thing.  Sitting with her friends is more her style.

Stay tuned for October...

Visit from friends

I went to Hope College with my friend Kelly.  She still lives in Michigan, but we still have remained great friends.  Our kids get along so good too.  Carter and Chip are about a year apart and every time they are together, you would think that they see each other daily.  It is neat.
Her family came to visit us for a day and the kids had so much fun.  The girls thought that they would all sleep in Abby's bed.  Abby thought that was a good idea until she did not get to sleep in the middle.  Kelly's girls who are 5 and 3 ended up in Kelly and Chuck's room.

These sweet boys had so much fun doing just about everything.
I had several more fun pictures but they are vertical and would not show up...  Oh well.

Spending time at the lake

I am really behind in updating the blog, but thought I would catch up a little.
Our sister-in-law, Stephanie's family gets together to celebrate the 4th at the lake each year and we are always invited.  I would have to say that the kids had the best time ever.

Abby decided that she would ride the jet-ski with her daddy.
This girl really is a mess..  Never know what she will do next.

Carter also had lots of fun riding on the jet ski.  He even got to drive it a little
He jumped into the lake of the dock, more times than I can count.  He would jump in and pull himself up..  He is getting more confident and sure of himself every day..

I have several great pictures of the kids on the July 4th, however, they are vertical and blogger won't seem to post them the right direction.  Oh well, onto other things to blog about.

Basketball Camps

Besides getting to do really neat things while going to Carter's summer program where he has goes for afterschool activities and where Abby goes, he has had the chance to go to 2 short half day basketball camps.
The first one that he went to was Gamecock Basketball Camp.  He loved it.  Each morning he was so excited to get there and wanted me to leave as soon as I signed him in.  For those of you that know Carter, this has not always been the case.  He is growing up so much..

The he attended an Upwards Basketball camp at one of the local churches.  He enjoyed this too and just really loves to play and run and do his best.  It is so neat.  He will have the chance to play on an Upwards Team this winter...

More Fun in Indiana

After leaving Warsaw, we heading to Indianapolis with Aunt Amy for a day at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  It is a great museum and the kids had alot of fun.  We were all tired, but it was really neat.
There was a Hot Wheels exhibit that both Carter and Abby loved.

There was also a Lego Exhibit and both the kids had fun with that.

I took several other pictures, but Blogger will not let me post them since they are vertical pictures.  It would be too touch to look at them from the side.  We had fun with Aunt Amy and her dog Hudson.  Abby was bossing Hudson around and having a great time.  I am sad that I did not get any pictures of Hudson this time.  Thanks Aunt Amy for taking us to the museum and to a good restaurant and putting up with 2 really tired kids...
