Halloween Fun

We had a fun Halloween week. This year Carter with a little help from mommy, decided to be a mailman. I modified some clothes, made him a mailman bag filled with mail and his great-grandma made the US Postal Service patches.
On Monday we went to Boo at the Zoo at our local zoo. They hand out candy at different stations and you walk around the zoo and look at the animals. It was a lot of fun and Carter kept his hat on and carried the mail bag the whole way. He really wanted to give the Koalas some mail, but they were sleeping.

On Tuesday we carved Carter's pumpkin. He was so excited but did not want to touch the insides.

On Wednesday, I took Carter to get some 3 year old pictures taken and decided to get some with his mailman costume on. Carter did a great job with pictures, it is amazing how getting older helps him to listen and sit still so much better. Sorry these pictures are little, they are off the picture place website.

Then on Thursday, we went to the Leapin Lizards Halloween Party. It is an play area that has inflatables and other things to play. Carter had a great time and even won 1st place in the costume contest. He gave the judge a piece of mail when she came to talk to him.

On Friday, Halloween, we went out to Patrick's work to the base party. Carter got to go on a hayride, play games, decorate cupcakes and decorate pumpkins. He had so much fun and did not want to leave.

As you can see this was a very busy but fun week. Today, we worked to put away the Halloween decorations and started talking about Thanksgiving as our next holiday. He thinks it should be Christmas! It was so neat this year to hear his commentary of all of our activities. We hope that everyone is having a nice fall season.
