Grandma and Aunt Amy come to visit

My mom and sister came to visit and meet Abby for the first time. We had a great time and stayed busy shopping, eating and playing. It was so much fun to get to see them and special to get to have them spend time with Carter and Abby. Abby is 6 weeks old now and is starting to be awake more and notice voices. It is amazing how quickly she has grown up. Carter was his entertaining self with his constant chatter. There is always something going on in his mind. Amazing. Carter wanted to watch a movie with Grandma. Grandma brought Snow Buddies for them to watch. They went up into the playroom and Carter would only let him and Grandma be there to watch it together. It was a special moment for both Carter and Grandma.

Here is Abby in the Christening Dress that was her Great-Great Grandma's on my mom's side. We tried it on to see how it fit and see how the ribbon needed to be fixed. We are planning on having her baptism in the next few months.

5 weeks old

Abby is five weeks old now and time really flies. She is sleeping in her crib at night and just gets up once to eat. Carter still loves to spend time with her. Here are a few pictures to enjoy. My mom and Amy are coming this weekend to meet baby Abby and hang out with Carter. We are looking forward to our time with them and each day Carter comes up with new things that we are going to do. It appears that Abby needed to be "guarded" by Carter as he reads his books..

We had a playdate today with Carter's friend, Ryan... They had a great time at the park and then lunch at Chick-fil-a.

One month old

Abby is one month old and changing daily. Still sleeps alot (way more than Carter) but is always well taken care of by Carter. Here are a few pictures. We went to the circus and Carter had a great time, Abby slept. Enjoy...Not so happy about her new flower in her hair.

Three weeks old

Big Brother and his Baby Sister:

Abby is 3 weeks old now and doing great. Carter is doing a wonderful big brother and loves to be around her and make her happy. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the two of them. We are enjoying warm weather and being outside. We went to the zoo last week and Carter was so proud to have Abby there.

I went in to check on Abby before we went to the zoo and this is what I found. Carter had put Abby's dolls in her swing with her.

Two Weeks Old

Abby is now 2 weeks old and doing great. She is back at her birth weight and growing everyday. Her sleeping habits at night have turned into a normal baby in that she doesn't sleep great at night unless I am sitting up and she is laying on me... I got spoiled in the first week. We will keep working on it. Carter is doing great too and loves is "baby sister". She gets kisses and hugs and he thinks that if he puts a puzzle together for her, it will make her happy when she is sad. Many times the puzzle has to stay put together until Abby wakes up to "look at it". Here are a few pictures. Thanks for checking in.. Oh yeah, I started thinking that bows were fun.. It is really not me, but I think they look cute on Abby. Also, don't mind that she has the same outfit on as the last post. Mostly, she has been having fun wearing a variety of outfits, you know it is a girl thing that people think you only have one outfit in all the pictures. Still enjoy.

One week old

Abby is now one week old. It is hard to believe. She is a great baby and sleeps alot. (not like Carter). Carter is enjoying being a big brother, more and more each day. Patrick went back to work today and Carter is at school. Here are a few pictures of Abby and Carter the past few days.

We are getting settled with a newborn and a 3 year old. Carter loves "his baby" and lets us know that there are now 4 people in our house. It is so cute. He has his hyper moments just like any 3 year old. Abby sleeps alot. This was not the case with Carter, so we are adjusting to that. We are thankful, it is just different. Here are a few pictures taken since we came home. Abby with a receiving blanket that her Grammie (great-grandma) made her.
